(Officer in charge of Deer Island Light Station1962-65)
I reside in Rockport, Massachusetts.
I have made models for over
60 years.
I am a former Light House Keeper
& retired US Coast Guard Master Chief. Most of the wood used in the models
grew in Rockport or is recycled from old dimensioned lumber.
Also incorporated is driftwood collected from the beaches of Cape Ann.
I am an retired
net maker for lobstermen of the area and a lifelong
maker of fancy knot work learned from the Great Lakes to the North Atlantic.
My net making skills were obtained as a teenager making cast nets in Carolina.
Occasionally you may find me demonstrating net making or model
making during events along the local water fronts.
