Tony Ashdon's Model Display Cases

For a museum like rendering of your models, a display case will do it every time.

Model ships should always be displayed in cases. After you have forgone a disaster it is a bit late to wonder why you forgot to enclose your prized passion in a protective case. Naked models are great dust magnets. A quick pass with a vacuum cleaner equals many small parts removed and loads of uniform de-rendering of vast beauty in an instant. "Ooops" is grounds for divorce if you can find a judge that is a model enthusiast to hear your case.

Plexiglas cases are preferred to glass.  It is many times stronger than glass. The hazards of broken glass are eliminated. And direct sun light's UV rays will rot your rigging and fade your colors in a very short time. Plexiglas retards UV rays from damaging artwork such as ship models.

Kindly contact us with you display case requirements. Normally display cases should be at least one inch greater in all directions of the model. Add one inch to the bow, stern, top of the mast, and an inch on each side. The larger the case, the thicker the case materials. Normal material used is about 3/16 inch (0.18 inch).
